Orton-Gillingham Reading & Writing Intervention
About The Orton-Gillingham Method
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. It is most properly understood and practiced as an approach, not a method, program, or system. In the hands of a well-trained and experienced instructor, it is a powerful tool of exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility.
Our Orton-Gillingham intervention service is designed to provide targeted support for individuals struggling with literacy skills. Through personalized instruction delivered by our certified educators, we address the specific needs of each learner, helping them develop strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and spelling. With a focus on multisensory techniques and structured, sequential lessons, we empower our students to become confident and proficient readers and writers.
Whether your child has been diagnosed with dyslexia or simply requires additional support in literacy, our Orton-Gillingham intervention service offers a comprehensive approach to address their unique needs and unlock their full potential.

- Emotional Control: Regulating and managing big emotions in challenging situations. Example: Taking a deep breath and staying composed when feeling frustrated after receiving a lower grade than expected on a test.
- Working Memory: Holding and manipulating information in mind. Example: Recalling and applying previously learned multiplication facts while solving a multi-step word problem.
- Organization: Arranging materials and tasks systematically. Example: Neatly organizing school supplies in the backpack and keeping track of assignments using a planner.
- Planning: Developing and executing a strategy to accomplish tasks. Example: Mapping out the steps needed to complete a research project, including gathering sources, taking notes, and writing a report.
